Aspen Spring Break, Colorado

Book what you need for your Aspen trip! »
Calling all ski bunnies. If you want to break out the one-piece ski suit, hobnob with the rich and stuck-up, see lots of tourists check out Aspen, Colorado, your jet set destination for spring break. Don't get me wrong; there is amazing snow, so the other drawbacks are just minor details... though you will also pay an arm and a leg wherever you ski in Colorado, so this location will not be any different.

Aspen shares the same high-class status as its sister Colorado city Vail. Both are certainly synonymous with a lifestyle that students are trying to chase. After all, why are we in college anyway – to make the big bucks and one day afford to live the life in Aspen? If this is a reality for you now, I am envious. But let' break it down for you and the others who only wish they could take a vacation in the lavish Aspen, Colorado.

I wouldn't put Aspen on the map for bringing in all the college students during spring break; it is an older age group or, in other words, a winter playground for the filthy rich, baby! If you think Aspen has top-notch dining and shopping, you are correct. Only the best for the best. I can only imagine what Aspen has to offer the top dogs. Besides the extraordinarily expensive cost of living there, i.e. eating, sleeping and skiing, Aspen has a lot of big mountains. Big mountains mean big skiing. There is a ton to do in the shadows of the Colorado Rockies, especially if outdoor living is your thing. Hiking, snow shoeing, ice skating, cross country skiing and even making snowmen are all a much cheaper way of being in Aspen but not having the money to be in Aspen. With any resort destination there will also be an array of spas and luxuries you can indulge in after a hard day's work on or off the mountain.

The more you do in Aspen, the more it is going to cost. I would not jump to the conclusion that it is a place you can live on a budget; more likely you can find cheaper vacation packages online and just keep spending more money from there.

The grandeur of the place carries over even more at night. The swank nightlife is a stranger to $2 beers and wristbands that will get you all-access to the clubs around town. You gotta have the cash flow to have the alcohol flow, you know? This ski town has its share of concerts, ski resort events and you know that other stuff. Chances are if you got the money to go, you got the money to buy some activities to do.

The ski bum or ski bunny life is just around the corner. Colorado has a varying degree of locales to ski the slopes, and if Aspen a little too rich for your blood than you probably should stay home with your parents. If you have the means to go to Aspen, by all means live it up for the short time you can afford to stay.
